On July 5, the second CS:GO RMR tournament cs_summit 6 has come to its end. Berlin International Gaming and Evil Geniuses became the winners of the event in Europe and North America respectively. CS:GO gambling on cs_summit and other events are available at Cyber.Bet.
Three weeks ago, BIG won DreamHack Masters Spring 2020, but at cs_summit, they had a fight on their hands. They lost to OG at the group stage but made it through to the play-off by beating FaZe Clan two times with the scoreline at 2:0.
In the play-off, BIG decisively beat GODSENT and Fnatic but lost in a tough fight versus Vitality. In the lower bracket, they took revenge over OG and got a second chance versus the French team. Despite having one map disadvantage due to Vitality’s upper bracket run, BIG managed to take the match 3:2 and win the whole event. They earned $34 000 and 2000 RMR points.
Evil Geniuses won the tournament in North America with a distinct advantage. They beat both Team Liquid and Gen.G twice and have not dropped a single map throughout the whole event! They got $22 000 prize money and 2000 RMR points for their victory.
In CIS, the second RMR event ended two weeks earlier and named WePlay! Clutch Island. Natus Vincere managed to win the tournament, despite a sloppy start. They lost to Gambit Youngsters at the group stage, but later took their revenge and qualified for the play-offs. There, they played more confident and have not lost a single match. In the grand final, they overcame Team Spirit 2:1.
RMR tournaments are held as the qualifiers for ESL One Rio, the only Major event of 2020. The competition is scheduled for November in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
