CompLexity and Evil Geniuses won BLAST Premier: Spring 2020 Finals

On June 21, BLAST Premier: Spring 2020 Finals in Europe and North America came to an end. Interestingly, both titles were claimed by the legendary organization from the USA: Evil Geniuses and compLexity.

CompLexity gathered a team with three European players in 2019, and that is why they play in Europe. This victory became the first big success on the tier-1 level for coL. BlameF and his teammates were looking confident during the whole event and did not lose a single series.

On round one, they beat OG 2:1. In the second match, they faced Natus Vincere, lost the first game 5:16, but then took two by dropping only 11 rounds on two maps! In the next series, they beat FaZe Clan, and in the grand final, they yet again showed their will to victory. They lost Vertigo to Vitality 2:16, but won Mirage in overtime and took Nuke 16:12.

CompLexity earned $335 000, while the French team got only $65 000 for the second place. FaZe clan stayed third, and Natus Vincere finished in fourth place.

In the North American division, Team Liquid surprisingly left on the last place, and FURIA stayed third. MIBR and Evil Geniuses were fighting for the main prize of $160 000. In the upper bracket final, the Brazilian team beat EG, but the team from the US took their revenge in the grand final and did not let MIBR win their first tier-1 title from 2018.
