On May 11, the first matches of Cyber.bet Cup: Spring Series in Europe and Southeast Asia were played. In southeast Asia all teams played their first matches of round robin group stage while in Europe Vikin.gg, Heroic, Unique and F.R.I.E.N.D.S. started their way in double elimination bracket.
Southeast Asia
The hot favorite of the tournament Geek Fam faced brand new team of Mush and Ohaiyo CR. Big names did not help multiple The International participants as GF decimated them. Overall kill score is 59:17 in favor of Geek Fam while they needed a bit more than one hour to close the series 2:0. In the other match-up of group A Cignal Unltra came from behind after losing the first map to T1.
Group B is more arcane since teams there seem to be more even. LGD.International won their first official match after they replaced Balck. Chinese organization beat Philippine team Execration 2:1. At last, 496 surprisingly easy won their match versus Neon Esports 2:0.

Europe
In the first match of the tournament Vikin.gg faced Team Heroic from the closed qualifiers. Heroic surprised everyone on previous stage and went on doing this at the main event. They managed to win the second map but the favorite was able come back and go through to the upper bracket second stage.
In the other part of the bracket team Unique had way less troubles with the second team hailed from closed qualifiers F.R.I.E.N.D.S. VANSKOR and his teammates beat their opponents 2:0.
On Tuesday the tournament goes on with the match between OG Seed and Nemiga.
