Tournament format

Eight teams take part in Cyber.Bet Summer Cup. They are HellRaisers, ex-SMASH Esports, Unicorns of Love, Illuminar, Ambush Esport, Apeks, Budapest Five, and SKADE. They are divided into two GSL groups (double elimination). Two best squads from each group proceed to play-off, which is also played by a double elimination system. Therefore, every team on the event has the right to lose once on the group stage and once in the play-off and still win the whole event.

Teams are divided into groups in the following way:

Group A:

Apeks
HellRaisers
Unicorns of Love
SKADE

Group B:

Ambush Esport
Budapest Five
ex-SMASH Esports
Illuminar Gaming

Below you can find the information that you can use as a CS:GO betting advice. That will help you to determine who to bet on.

Apeks

Swedish-Norwegian mix led by two experienced players Dennis “dennis” Edman and Kristian “akEz” Kornbakk hit the top 60 of HLTV world ranking. Unfortunately for them, they still cannot climb higher. Apeks could not qualify to cs_summit 6 after losing to AGO in the open qualifiers.

The last significant result of Apeks is their victory in Norwegian tournament Telialigaen – Spring 2020. The prize pool of that event was about $15 000, but it was held only for Norwegian players, and Apeks did not have any fierce opposition there. They played that tournament without dennis, and with him, they still struggle to get decent results as they lost to every prominent opponent they met last few weeks. One of them was another team from Group A, SKADE.

HellRaisers

The new HellRaisers roster gathered in April after the organization disbanded the team led by legendary Kirill “ANGE1” Karasiow. The new team was assembled and led by longstanding Vega Squadron captain Dmytro “jR” Chervak. He put together a squad with well-known players kalinka and Flarich with such fresh blood as ProbLeM and JIaYm.

It is possible to say that the team falls short of expectations. HellRaisers lose to almost every tough opponent in CIS and Europe. On the other side, nearly every game with a new HR team is extremely close. They give a fight to almost every opponent, and they definitely hold promise. Sometimes they lack experience, teamwork, or even some luck to win the game as they had tight games versus such opponents as Heroic, North, or Hard Legion. Perhaps, Cyber.Bet Summer Cup can become their jumping-off place to the top.

Unicorns of Love

Unicorns of love are known mostly for their League of Legends rosters and flashy jerseys, social networks, and mascots design. CS:GO is not their top priority. The team holds one of the last places in the top 100 of HLTV ranking and playing not the best way this June. Over the previous two weeks, they lost to mens, AGO, GamerLegion, Sprout and only beat pro100.

The team consists of German players with both old school and young ones. It is very well known that the order and team play frequently beat class. German Counter-Strike is known for its consistency and extremely bottom-line playstyle. This style can help UOL to win their games versus younger and more explosive teams such as HellRaisers.

SKADE

SAKDE can definitely be named the favorite of Group A. Not long ago, Bulgarian team beat such opponents as LDLC, Apeks, and even Team Spirit. On the other hand, they also lost to HellRaisers. At the beginning of May the team was going to hit the top 30 of HLTV ranking, but a series of bad results pushed them back.

Just one week before the start of Cyber.Bet Summer Cup SKADE decided to change two players of their roster. Rock1nG and rafftu were substituted by Duplicate and Oxygen. With their new players, SAKDE lost in a very close game to Alternate Attax and decisively won their match versus Danish AGF.

Ambush Esport

The Danish team is in the top 80 of HLTV ranking from April, but their highest place was only 60th. They participated in different tournaments with high-class opponents, but in the games versus such teams as Heroic, Movistar Riders, or North Ambush were looking not the best way.

Speaking about matches versus other Cyber.Bet Summer Cup participants, Ambush faced SKADE and Budapest Five. Danish team smashed Bulgarians on Overpass, but then lost on Inferno and Nuke without any chances. Ambush also lost both their series versus Budapest Five.

Budapest Five

The strongest Hungarian team ranks among the top 100 of HLTV rating. On May Budapest Five beat such strong opponents as Tricked, AGO, and forZe. They also beat Ambush Esports twice in a row.

Just two weeks before the start of the tournament, the players decided to change their organization. They played under the tag of Salamander before. After finding their new home, the Hungarian team went on to show decent results. For example, they have a victory over Nordavind under their belts.

ex-SMASH Esports

Just a few days before the start of Cyber.Bet Summer Cup the players and SMASH organization parted their ways. The team stayed together and is looking for a new home. According to rumors, some serious organizations are interested in signing them, and it is not surprising. The team is ranked 41st in the HLTV rating and keeps on rising.

In April SMASH decided to substitute Polish player NEEX with Swede disco doplan. As it happens, the decision was right. In May, the team beat such teams as Syman, Nordavind, AGO, Hard Legion, and compLexity. On the other hand, just before the Cyber.Bet Summer Cup they lost two games to Endpoint and Japaleno. However, ex-SMASH remains to be the main favorite of Group B and the whole event.

Illuminar

The Polish team definitely aims to be the top competitor of ex-SMASH. Illuminar is only ranked 81st in the HLTV rating, but it should not confuse anyone, as they are going to climb way higher. The team got some big players in its roster, such as Snax (two-times fourth-best CS:GO player of the year!), mouz, and Vegi.

Janusz ‘Snax’ Pogorzelski

Just before the start of Cyber.Bet Summer Cup Illuminar won six games in a row as they beat SG.pro, AVEZ, Alternate Attax, Copenhagen Flames, HONORIS, and Hard Legion. They certainly aim to go on this series in our tournament.
