Epic Esports Events have reported that they are going to run EPIC League S2 instead of earlier slated OMEGA League S2 and shared the details.Â
The online Dota 2 competition will feature top European and CIS teams split into 2 divisions. The organizers have already named the invited contestants of Division 1; they are Nigma, Natus Vincere, OG, ViKin.gg, Team Secret, Virtus.pro, Alliance, Team Liquid. The rest slots are meant for winners of closed qualifications to be held on November 3-11. Thus, in comparison to the previous season, the quantity of participants will be reduced by 2, while the number of matches will increase from 30 to 45. The contestants of Division 2 will be determined in the course of the quals.
The main stage of Division 1 will start on November 12 and will last till December 13. As to Division 2, the group stage will kick off on November 11 and will run till December 1. The final stage of both divisions is set for December 8-13. The overall prize fund for Division 1 is $500,000, and for Division 2 — $50,000.
Looking back, the winner of the previous season, held in May, was Virtus.pro. They are among the participants again willing to consolidate their success! Will they manage? Place your bets, and time will show!
