ESL Lanuches Dota 2 online league with $375 000 prize pool

ESL have announced a launch of Dota 2 online league named ESL One Los Angeles 2020 – Online. Overall prize pool for the league is $375 000. ESL One Los Angeles 2020 – Online will provide teams possibility to play in competitive manner and also be highly visibleб while there will be no LAN tournaments in upcoming future because of coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. Matches start on April 28 in China, South East Asia, South and North Americas.

Europe and CIS are merged into one big region featuring 16 teams. Matches in this division start on April 4. SEA and Americas divisions consist of four teams each and six teams play in Chinese region. The prize pool for Europe and CIS region is $200 000, for China is $55 000 and $40 000 per every other region.

It is worth mentioning that some teams are going to play with roster changes because of online format. Evil Geniuses will play without Russian offlaner Roman “Ramzes” Kushnarev and Philippine mid laner Abed “Abed” Yusop, who stay in their countries. EG coach Sam “BuLba” Sosale and Eric “Ryoya” Dong are standing in. Ramzes himself is a substitute player of Ninjas in Pymanas alongside with Milan “MiLAN” Kozomara as Brazilian offlaner Rodrigo “Lelis” Santos and American support Saahil “Universe” Arora are not able to play on European servers.

ESL One Los Angeles was scheduled for March 15-22 and should have been held in Los Angeles, USA. It was denied as well as next Minor and Major DPC tournaments due to coronavirus pandemic.
