At the beginning of the second round, Francis loosened a grip, but then, he stepped up and heavily knocked down his opponent. The American fighter somehow managed to recover and even landed a kick, but the challenger replied with a ferocious left hook, depositing Stipe roughly on the canvas to claim heavyweight gold!
The Cameroonian fighter gained the 16th victory in his career with three losses only. For Stipe, it became his fourth loss.Â
