Francis Ngannou claimed the UFC heavyweight title!

Last weekend, the UFC 260 MMA tournament in Las Vegas featured a bright and thrilling bout. The reigning heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic fought against his worthy adversary Francis Ngannou and tried to retain his title, but failed! The match ended in Francis’ ahead-of-time knockout win. It was their second encounter, the first one took place in 2018. That time, Stipe Miocic managed to win on points. But this time, we’ve witnessed an absolutely different performance.

The start was tense, ‘the Predator’ didn’t rush on the opponent fiercely, as usual. He was landing low kicks and body kicks, while Stipe in the first minute didn’t do anything at all. Then, the future champion switched to the fierce attack, but the American opponent managed to withstand and even tried to step up the efforts. It was the only activity of Stipe — he made a takedown attempt, but Francis impressively defended, landing a sequence of heavy punches. At the beginning of the second round, Francis loosened a grip, but then, he stepped up and heavily knocked down his opponent. The American fighter somehow managed to recover and even landed a kick, but the challenger replied with a ferocious left hook, depositing Stipe roughly on the canvas to claim heavyweight gold!

The Cameroonian fighter gained the 16th victory in his career with three losses only. For Stipe, it became his fourth loss.
