Heroic grabbed the win in the Grand Final of DreamHack Fall 2020

DreamHack Fall 2020 wrapped up last Sunday and brought in a new champion — a Danish team Heroic. The competition ended in their six-hour intense fighting against French Team Vitality. The opponents couldn’t battle it out during the regulation time. During the extra time, from the start, having won on Overpass, the French team owned the game. Heroic, however, took the upper hand on Nuke. Then, adversaries played on an equal level. The decisive encounter on Mirage ended in Heroic’s success and handed them a victory. Casper Møller’s team got to the grand final, moving on from the lower bracket and making it all the way to the top. It’s a worthy victory to be proud of. Vitality, in their turn, made it into the final moving on in the upper bracket. Having defeated Ninjas in Pyjamas, BIG, and Astralis, the French team had every chance to win, and they, no doubt, fought up to the last ditch, after all, they let their guard down and failed on the last map. The fight was really stirring, for both contestants were too close to victory, coming out brightly and keeping the audience on the edge of their seat!

In sum, in the third RMR tournament, sixteen teams have vied for a $33,000 and 2500 RMR points first place reward and a spot at IEM Global Challenge 2020. So, let’s congratulate Heroic on gaining it and wish them good luck at IEM Global Challenge!

The overall prize fund of $115,000 was divided among the participants in the following way:
