Natus Vincere won the charity tournament Gamers Without Borders and claimed the first place of HLTV ranking

On May 28-31, charity CS:GO tournament Gamers Without Borders was held. G2, FaZe Clan, OG, Fnatic, mousesports, and NAVI took part in the event. Natus Vincere became the winners of the tournament, and overall $2 million were sent to UNICEF by the competition organizers.

The rules of the event were quite unusual. The map consisted not of 30 rounds plus overtimes if needed but of 24 rounds and overtimes if required. In the first round, FaZe beat G2 and OG overcame Fnatic to face Natus Vincere and mousesports respectively, who were invited directly to the semifinal.

NAVI and mousesports beat their opponents with the same score line at 2:1 and faced each other in the best of five grand final. As it should be in the exhibition tournament, teams played the whole series and showed many crazy highlights. For example, s1mple performed the perfect MLG frag by killing woxic with AWP unscoped shot through the smoke and the wall.

Natus Vincere took the 3:2 victory and, on June 1, claimed the first place in HLTV ranking. This happened not only because of their win at Gamers Without Borders but also due to changes in Astralis roster. Andreas “Xyp9x” Højsleth followed the path taken by gla1ve and decided to take a break from competitive Counter-Strike.
