The event organizer, PGL, has announced that it will host the next CS:GO Major Championship. It will be the first Major tournament in the last two years!
The event will take place in Stockholm, at the Ericsson Globe Arena, holding 16,000 people. The championship is expected to be the richest one, as the participants will compete for a massive $2 million prize fund, the largest in Counter-Strike history! CS:GO Major 2021 is slated to run from October 23 to November 7. It is not yet known which teams will get slots for the competition and whether there will be additional RMR tournaments. According to the organizers, if “all safety conditions to hold live competitive events are met by that time,” the live audience will be invited to the final stage of the competition.
All in all, the hosts promise to feature a fiery event full of surprises and innovative elements! “Our goal is to celebrate the game in the best way possible, and we will work hard for this,” says PGL CEO.
All the details about the format, participants, qualifications, dates, and schedules will be unveiled later, closer to the event. Stay tuned with Cyber.bet!
