Secret, PSG.LGD, and Quincy Crew to win ESL One Birmingham Online

On May 7, ESL One Birmingham Online came to its end in three regions: Europe, China, and the Americas. Team Secret won their fourth online European tournament in a row. PSG.LGD won the Chinese event, while Qunicy Crew were victorious in the Americas.

Team Secret is going on to smash every opponent during online events. From five big European tournaments, Team Secret lost only ESL One Los Angeles Online won by Virtus.Pro. Then Puppey’s team won WePlay! Pushka League, Gamers Without Borders, and OGA Dota PIT 2020 Online: Europe/CIS.

In ESL One Birmingham grand final, Team Secret faced Alliance, which surprisingly beat Puppey’s team in the upper bracket. Secret took their revenge as they smashed the opponent 3:0, and Alliance was able to hold for more than 30 minutes only on one map from three. Virtus.Pro Progidy took third place. VP’s youth team was doing great for the whole event. They beat Nigma in the play-off but lost to both Alliance and Secret without any chances. Team Nigma took fourth place.

In Chinese region, PSG.LGD confidently finished in the first place. They lost only 2 maps from 15 played on the event: one at the group stand and one in the grand final versus Invictus Gaming. Royal Never Give Up took third place.

In the Americas, CR4ZY won the group stage, but in play-off lost to Quince Crew twice. QC, in their turn, became the champions of the event. Evil Geniuses are still suffering problems with the roster. They cannot count on RAMZES and Abed as BuLba and Ryoya standing in for them. Cr1t plays from Europe with high ping, and EG cannot be treated as the contender for the victory. On ESL One Birmingham, they finished the third.

The event in Southeast Asia finished one week ago. Fnatic keeps on winning every online event as they took this one as well.

Clement “Puppey” Ivanov, Rodrigo “Lelis” Santos, Anucha “Jabz” Jirawong, and Lu “Somnus” Yao became the MVPs in their regions. One of them will receive a brand new Mercedes-Benz car worth €50,000.
