Team Secret became a champion of OMEGA League: Europe Immortal Division

A top division of the overall OMEGA League championship wrapped up on Sunday, September 6. Twelve strongest teams with participants from Europe and CIS fought for a prize pool of $500K. A three-week event kicked off on August 14 was held online and ended by Team Secret’s win over OG with a 3:0 score.

On the way toward the grand final, OG swept Nigma 2:0, while Secret defeated Evil Geniuses. However, the upper bracket final game ended by Team Secret’s 2:1 win over OG. Hence, Secret had a 1:0 lead in the grand final. And it was much easier to get inspired to win the next two sets and capture the championship.

With a victory, the champion gained $200K. As a runner-up, OG took home $125K. Although the winners got the better half of the prize pool, the losers were not left holding the bag – they were advanced to participate in the Immortal Division of OMEGA League Season 2 that will take place from October 28 to December 13. The participation of Alliance, Team Liquid, Nigma, OG, Team Secret has been officially confirmed; the rest teams will be announced later. Track news at Cyber.Bet to stay in the loop!
