Team Secret became the champions of WePlay! Pushka League

The second big online European league has come to its end. Team Secret became a winner of WePlay! Pushka League with prize pool of $250 000. In the grand final Team Secret beat Virtus.Pro Progidy and claimed the main prize of $70 000.

Virtus.Pro youth roster named Prodigy became breakthrough of the tournament. At the group stage VP.P lost only to main Virtus.Pro roster and FlyToMoon while in play-off they beat NiP, Alliance and Liquid losing only to Team Secret twice. As for Virtus.Pro first team, after the release of 7.26 patch that slowed down the game pace and cut down the rewards for kills their aggressive playstyle became not that effective and they finished only the fourth. Team Liquid took the third place as they are team that likes slow and relatively passive playstyle.

After finishing on the second place at ESL One Los Angeles Online OG completely failed on Pushka League and stayed only the fifth at the group stage. Team Nigma also did not qualify to play-off but managed to keep their league spot by winning a tie breaker versus OG Seed. It is worth mentioning that B8 featuring legendary Daniil “Dendi” Ishutin lost all 12 maps played on the league.

The next big Dota 2 event will be Gamers Without Borders 2020, a charity tournament with $1.5 mln prize pool.
