Valve postponed Dota 2 The International 11 to 2022. This information was published by Belarusian Esports Federation on the pretext of Valve’s letter.

The capital of Belarus, Minsk, among the other cities, applied to host The International 11. Later all the Dota 2 tournament system was breached due to coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak. The International 10 scheduled for August 2020 in Stockholm was postponed to 2021. In the letter to Belarusian Esports Federation, Valve confirmed that TI11 would be held in 2022.

The International is one of the biggest esports events in the world. It is held one time per year and gathers 18 best Dota 2 teams. Valve uses the crowdfunding system as 25% from every purchase linked to yearly Battle Pass is added to TI’s prize pool. The prize pool of The International 2019 was above $34 mln, which is the record for esports.

Despite the postponement of TI10 to 2021, the Battle Pass was launched this Spring and the prize pool of the event is $28,7 mln as of this writing.
