Valve denied Dota 2 Epicenter Major and OGA Pit Minor

Valve denied two more Dota Pro Circuit 2019/20 tournaments. Epicenter Major and OGA Pit Minor will not be held because of coronavirus pandemia. Epicenter was scheduled for May 2-10 in Moscow and OGA Pit Minor should have been played in Croatian Split on April 23-26. Earlier this month Valve and ESL denied the third major of the season ESL One Los Angeles. Both tournament operator and Dota 2 developer are looking for the possibility of hosting the event.

As a result, there are only two DPC tournaments still scheduled in the current season, ONE Esports Singapore Major and unannounced Minor. It is to be noticed that ONE Esports already denied their non-DPC event in Jakarta. The last standing tournament for the upcoming future is ESL One Birmingham scheduled for May 26-31.

The first causes of coronavirus disease were committed in Chinese province Hubei in December 2019. As of March 16 there were 170 000 people infected all over the world, 6500 died from disease. Almost every LAN esports event was cancelled or transferred to online, like ESL Pro League, LEC, LCK, LPL and others.
